A handmade candle takes time. Not dramatic time, but patient time.
Wax needs to be melted slowly. Fragrance needs to be measured carefully. Pouring happens at the right temperature, not the fastest one. Cooling can’t be rushed.
There are pauses in the process where nothing happens outwardly, but everything is settling. Those pauses matter.
This pace is part of why handmade candles feel different. They carry the calm of their own making.
When I pour a candle, I’m present with it. That attention stays with the piece long after it leaves the studio.
